A cold-hardy North American cultivar with fragrant lilac-purple pea-like blooms held in pendulous racemes from late spring to early summer. Less aggressive than Asian species.

Clings by twining. Grows 20-30’ tall. Hardy to USDA zone 4. 1-gallon pot.
