Amsterdam Garden Centre has been a family-owned and -operated plant nursery in Pitt Meadows since 1979. We're Currently Hiring for the Following Positions:
Part-Time Cashier
- 2-4 days/week, with the possibility for F/T hours in the future, for the right fit.
- Must be available Saturdays and/or Sundays
Must have:
- Great customer service skills and be friendly and outgoing
- The ability to lift 50 lbs minimum and be physically fit
- Good attention to detail and work well with numbers
- Strong organizational skills
- A desire to learn about basic plant care
- A team-player attitude
Duties:
- Offer exceptional customer service to our guests
- Operate a POS (Point of Sale) system
- Handle cash and process payments
- Receive products
- Price plants
- Clean and restock shelves
Some plant knowledge and/or cashier experience is an asset.
Greenhouse Production and Bedding Plant Specialist
- Part-time or full-time positions available that extend until August 31, with the possibility of continued employment thereafter, if needed.
- Must be available on weekends.
Must have:
- The ability to lift 50 lbs minimum and be physically fit
- A love of working with plants
Duties:
- Propagate plants
- Transplant plants
- Water plants
- Maintain the growing greenhouse
- Help customers
