What constitutes a rare perennial? Is it scarcity, being recently introduced, a new colour variation or even just a plant that fell out of fashion and has been suddenly ‘rediscovered’? Truth be told, it is all of these factors and the fact that I think these perennials deserve a place in your garden for the sheer beauty of their flowers and foliage.

From the true blues of the Corydalis, to the stunning two-tone diversity of the Westcountry lupines or the spectacular foliage of Podophyllum ‘Spotty Dotty’, there is something here for every taste and sun exposure.

While our list of rare perennials available for spring delivery is not terribly long, we are growing many more in-house that will become available a little later in the season, so keep an eye out for these.
