Description

This alpine species is another good candidate for bonsai culture much in part to its slow juvenile growth rate and density. Even when left to grow naturally, it features very attractive short green needles and bluish (male) to purplish-brown (female) cones.

Grows 10’ (in severe alpine areas) to 100’ tall. Hardy to USDA zone 5. Part to full sun. 1-gallon pot.
