This species is closely related to Climbing Hydrangea with similar white lacecap blooms for 6-8 weeks during the summer. The best ornamental feature here are the leaves which are a silver or pewter colour with green veining and turn a lovely cherry-red in the fall.

Clings by aerial rootlets. Part to full sun. Grows 10-30’+ tall. Hardy to USDA zone 5. 1-gallon pot.
