Description

This is only really native to an isolated population on southern Vancouver Island, but it is so beautiful, it deserves a chance in sheltered sites. It is an evergreen shrub or small tree with glossy green leaves and small yellowish-green male catkins and reddish female flowers in spring, followed by waxy bluish berries.

Grows 10-15’ tall. Hardy to USDA zone 7. Part to full sun. 1-gallon pot.
