German White is a hardneck variety of gourmet garlic. It is grown for its edible scapes as well as its bulbs. It has a strong garlic flavour with long-lasting heat. Once clove is often enough to flavour a whole dish. Its flavour mellows with cooking. Use it whole, chopped, or crushed in sauces, marinades, soups, stews, mashed root vegetables, butters, and spreads. Also, it’s excellent in pestos! Yummy! It produces a large two-inch bulb with four to six easy-to-peel cloves. It stores well and will keep for up to 10 months.
