Description

Celmatis viticella ‘Purpurea Plena Elegans’ (1899) is an old and unusual cultivar of Clematis viticella with smaller blooms of a velvety rosy-purple. You can also expect good disease resistance and cold hardiness from this variety.

Flowers 1-2” wide / blooms June-Sept / grows 9-12’ tall (3-4m) / sun to part shade / Pruning Group C / USDA zone 3. 1-gallon pot.
