Chocolate Vine is a reference to its fragrance, although this vigorous vine should be better known for its clusters of purple orb-like blooms that open up to three petals. This is a great choice for covering a gazebo or long lattice fence as this species just loves to grow and the five-parted compound leaves are quite attractive.

Clings by twining. Shade to full sun. Grows 20-40’ tall. Hardy to USDA zone 5. 1-gallon pot.
