A lightly fragrant evergreen species which makes a good replacement for Clematis armandii in colder regions. It produces glossy tapered foliage and multicoloured blooms of orange and purple (with yellow throats) from June to July. This is a great choice for covering those bare chain link fences.

Clings by twining. Part to full sun. Grows 15-25’ tall. Hardy to USDA zone 4. 1-gallon pot.
