The reason we have chosen to place our own-root climbing roses here in the vine section is that these are your best choice when wanting to create a mixed (I.e. clematis-rose, honeysuckle-rose) planting because once they have grown together, you need to be sure that all the new rose suckers are true to form and not just the understock. These are also available in an economical 1-gallon format that also work well in large containers, so that you can plant with confidence.
